James Larry Taulbee, B.A., Purdue University; Ph.D. (1970), The Johns Hopkins University. Specialization: international relations, international law and organization, international security policy. His written work has addressed questions relating to the legal control of terrorism, the use of mercenaries, the effectiveness of human rights initiatives, the International Criminal Court and the utility of non- conventional defense strategies. He served as a member of the Security Subcommittee on Intelligence and Terrorism for the Atlanta Olympic Games. He is currently working on a longer manuscript which addresses the use of mercenaries in contemporary conflicts.
