Harvey Klehr, B.A., Franklin & Marshall College; Ph.D. (1971), University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Specialization: Political Theory, Twentieth Century Political Ideologies. He received the Emory Williams Teaching Award (1983), Emory University Scholar-Teacher of the Year (1995) and the Thomas Jefferson Award (1999). His current research interests center around American communism and Soviet espionage in America. His most recent publication is In Denial: Historians, Communism and Espionage (Encounter Books, 2003). Dr. Klehr was recently nominated to be a member of the National Council on the Humanities.
