Research and teaching interests: American politics, national and state-level; Gender politics, especially issues of women’s political representation; Public opinion, especially issues of political identity; Legislative politics. Current research is on the impact of diversity – especially in terms of race, ethnicity, gender, and sexual identity – in the American state legislatures.
