Biography

Natália S. Bueno studies comparative politics. Her research concerns distributive politics, political economy of development, elections and race, with a regional concentration in Latin America. She is working on research projects on the political logic of nonstate welfare provision, provision of public goods, the political effects of public policies as well as the causes of the underrepresentation of racial groups in electoral politics. Her work has been published in journals including World Politics and Comparative Political Studies. Prior to joining Emory in 2018, she received her Ph.D. in political science from Yale University.
